Take the Cake (a balance handbook) is just about finished (WOOHOO!) And I can't wait for it to get out to everyone. It's been an exciting process. My publisher sent me some possible covers. Which one do you like? Weigh in in the comment section and help me choose the right one. Include your email and one lucky reader gets a free copy of the book with a special surprise included!
COVER 1
1, 3, 2. I like 3 a lot, but concerned that having a white woman on cover may limit target audience appeal.

There's something delicious about #1 but maybe not the best choice for the book cover (just want the cake!). Like the colors of #2 & the airy feeling, but it's so zoomed in I think you lose perspective. #3 is a great design - just needs a little more pop! Maybe a stronger title font & a color tweak. Love that you put a book together - hope to read it someday soon!!

I really like Cover 1.. the title, the slogan, and the picture are definitely a great match and eye catching! :)

I personally like the first cover. I feel that it is the most modern. Then the second one is my second choice. The third feels too "bewitched".
I looked up your company after reading an article on it in my mom's Redbook. I am currently taking a feminist class at the University of Minnesota and have to keep a journal of articles or stories I come across about women. I'm not sure what we are doing with them, but I have to say that I really like what you are doing. It is inspiring. I am only 22 years old but I know that I want to have a career, children and then plenty of time for the children. Thank you. Please do continue to expand your company.

I like #3. It's eye-catching.
Can't wait to read.
I'm a FT mom of 2 (7 and 9 yos), and try to balance, work, play, mom, and wife roles every day. ;)

No question ... cover #3 is the best for a variety of reasons - including the mom, who is the essential "ingredient" in your book. Best of luck!

I actually like #1...it pops when you look at the cover. #3 is good but it looks like all the other "Chic Lit" books ont he market.
