Wine Tasting in February

It's time to raise a glass and learn a little about wine.  All while you can have your children cared for in the child development center.  It's going to be a fun evening of wine and nibbles and good company.  Space is limited so reserve your spot today.

Happy Birthday, Cubes&Crayons!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  With great joy and fun, we celebrated our 1st birthday at Cubes&Crayons coworking yesterday.  The bubbly was pouring, tasty nibbles were munched upon, and birthday hats were decorated by little ones, as members, friends, and new members raised a glass to our new fabulous space.  It has been an adventurous year culminating with the move of  our space just two days before our birthday celebration. 

It's Moving Day

It's been a looongggg week for Cubes&Crayons.  Two full days of being open in Menlo Park. Packing up and moving today and then open for business tomorrow plus not to be forgotten, our 1 year birthday party this Saturday!  Yesterday, I scrambled around getting some finishing touches and putting up some of those literally as the carpet was going down.  As many know I have been taking pictures as we go under construction, so here are a few of our Mountain View coworking site going from nothing to something.   Check out more at our Flickr PhotoStream

Location, Location, Location!  Isn't that what they say in the real estate business?  Well, the new Cubes&Crayons Coworking space in Mountain View, California has a great location in its ease to everything.  We remain "green", less than a mile from a train station,  and walkability to downtown and local parks.  Still, we know that many of our members will be driving there.  For those of you taking the less than "public" transit, we thought we would give you a couple of tricks for easing your way there (beyond your Google map search.)

Getting Oriented at Cubes&Crayons Coworking Silicon Valley

As Cubes&Crayons coworking moves this week to Mountain View in the heart of Silicon Valley, I thought I would take a quick moment to start orienting our members and future members to the fun places all within a mile of the Mountain View Cubes&Crayons. There are parks, restaurants, cafes, bookstores and more all within a short distance. Below are just some of our favorites in each category. We look forward to the members' feedback as we grow the list:

Moving Day is Almost Here

  Cubes&Crayons Coworking is getting ready for it's big moving day to our new Silicon Valley location in Mountain View. I went to visit our new space this morning.  It is beautiful . The paint is going on the walls and we are starting to slowly pack non-essentials up at our still operational Menlo Park coworking space.  It's exciting to grab a new market while bringing our great existing community.

The paint is on the walls, the carpet is prepped and ready to be laid.  The lights are installed.  Boxes are packed.  Events are planned.   The Facebook group has been updated.  And we are READY!  We are enjoying our last two days at our current Menlo Park location and are looking forward to opening on Thursday, January 22 at our Silicon Valley Location: 152 E. Dana Street, Mountain View, CA 94041.Join us on opening day or for any of our other amazing events in the next couple of months.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Love Kids? Part time opportunities...

We are always looking dynamic, caring and fun childcare workers for part time or substitute work. We like to build from within our community whenever possible, so we are letting everyone know about the ongoing opportunity to part of the Cubes&Crayons community.Our childcare is fantastic and we would love to add a few more people to cover when staff our out, date nights, extra busy times, etc.  Perferct for someone looking to pick up some extra hours here and there for a nanny, college student, or someone looking to get into childcare while taking classes in early education.  If you know someone looking for a fantastic part time job, please have them send their resume directly to contact@cubesandcrayons.com.

Moving on Out

January is going to be a big month for Cubes&Crayons.  We will be celebrating our 1 year birthday (more to come) on the 24th and more importantly we are moving to a brand new, gorgeous space in Mountain View, with easy access to Los Gatos, San Jose, and the peninsula as well as a short distance from the fantastic restaurants on Castro street in downtown.  We are brimming with excitement and will be in our new digs in the latter half of the month (check back next week for exact date.)  After much discussion and debate, Cubes&Crayons is happily moving out of its Menlo Park location and bringing the best coworking space and the best drop in childcare option to the South Bay. We have new office options...checkout the website in the next couple of weeks to see all the great ways to use the coworking space. And for those of you who have the 5 and under set in the house, look forward for bringing them in for some great play time and learning in the child development center. Great events on the way including wine tasting, our birthday party, consultations with Skin Spirit and more.  Details to come... add us to your RSS feed if you don't want to miss it.
